I have loved to read since I was a little girl; books have always been my favorite. When I was still in school, I could spend the whole day reading in the library. I love the smell of the books. I know it’s weird, but I do.
Even when the Kindle book was on trend for the first time, I still preferred books.
I like various types of novels, such as Mystery and Thrillers Novels. Anything that involves me thinking, intense, and creating my ending or a mystery I must solve in my imagination is a good read, and I never want to put it down. But lately, I have been loving romantic novels, not the corny ones, where man and woman would make love every single chapter of a book, but the love story that would make me an aww.
So, I was scrolling through TikTok, searching for trending romantic books, and I came across this novel, “The Light We Lost,” by Jill Santopolo. I immediately searched on Amazon and bought it. I clicked the link so fast that I could not even want to wait any longer without even looking for the review. Later, I knew it had more than 20 thousand ratings. I got the book the next day because of the Prime membership; I read it for only two days, so the story was so addicting that I could not put it down. I brought the book everywhere, even to the park where my son loves to play during the day before his nap time.
If you like a love story that has many obstacles but still maintains the beauty of the love story, you would like this book. I love how the author tells this young woman’s journey with her first love and another love in her future.
The first scene’s background is the September 11 tragedy in New York, which occurred when they first met and significantly affected their love stories.
Let’s say I was not expecting the end of their love journey to be that sad for both of them.
